Our venue is 30 minutes from the Barcelona airport (BCN) and 50 minutes from the Tarragona (Salou) airport. From the Barcelona Airport, you can take a bus or taxi to Sitges (taxi cost is around 50 euros). From the Tarragona airport, you can take a train to Sitges.

Almiral de la Font
Our venue, Almiral de la Font, is a traditional basilica-style Spanish masia (Catalan villa), built in the 16th century. The house is a significant landmark in the Garraf area and was formerly used for winemaking and farming. The property is home to a huge grounds with grapes used for a variety of local cavas. It has 14 kilometers of paths lined with pear, olive, cherry, walnut and almond trees.
All of the wedding events will be held here.

You are welcome to stay at Hotel Calipolis for your stay in Sitges. We recommend booking a room from Saturday, August 23rd through Tuesday, August 26th if you will be attending all of the wedding events. Hotel Calipolis is a 12 minute drive to Almiral de la Font.

We highly recommend staying in Sitges or Sant Pere de Ribes for easy transit to our venue.
PLEASE NOTE:
A popular annual festival will be taking place in Sitges during the wedding week. This should not affect Sant Pere de Ribes (where Almiral de la Font is technically located), but Sitges will be much more crowded than usual. Please take this into account when booking accommodations and scheduling Ubers or taxis. Hotels will likely book out quickly due to the festival.
We highly recommend booking your accommodation as soon as possible.

Activities in the Sitges Area
Sitges is a beautiful coastal town with sunny beaches and many historical landmarks to explore. It is located only 30 minutes from Barcelona.
SITGES BEACHES
Enjoy the Balearic sea under the warm August sun. Walk along the seaside promenade, grab a bite to eat, or stop at a bar for a refreshing vermouth!
CAVA & WINE TASTING
Try some local wine and cava and take in the beautiful scenery in the Penedès wine region. Visit famous cava producers like Finca Rovellats and Can Nadal.
BARCELONA
Only 30 minutes away, you can explore Park Güell, take a tour of La Sagrada Família, or grab some tapas at one of our favorite spots in the Old Town, El Xampanyet.
GARRAF NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy the Mediterranean scenery hiking or biking in Garraf National Park. The park is less than 30 minutes away and even has a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery you can visit.
Sitges Festa Major
More information about the annual festival in Sitges
The Festa Major is the annual celebration held in honour of Sant Bartolomeu, patron saint of Sitges. It will be taking place from August 20th through August 26th, 2025.
HISTORY
Starting in the 17th century when Sitges was a small fishing village, the festival has transformed from a religious event into a celebration of Catalan culture and Sitges’ unique traditions. The festival honors the town's patron saint, Sant Bartomeu and draws locals & visitors each year.
TRADITIONS
Key traditions include the gegants i capgrossos (giants and big heads) parade, where giant figures representing historical and mythical characters move through the streets in vivid costumes. There is also the diables or "devils" who perform fire-runs through the streets with flaming pitchforks.
ACTIVITIES
Festa Major offers diverse activities, from live music and cultural exhibitions to colorful firework displays over the Mediterranean. You may also see traditional games being played and storytelling sessions throughout the week, allowing visitors to participate and connect with the cultural heritage of Catalonia.
